If you happen to be near the San Diego area on August 1st, consider joining me and the well known yoga instructor, Stacy McCarthy, for a day of mindful meditation and astrology. I met Stacy and her husband Tom, the last time I was teaching at Rancho La Puerta. Stacy is a magnificent yoga teacher, and we both have a similar approach to teaching – which is to keep it simple and fun. Together on August 1st, we will usher in the new month, with a day of combining our talents. There will be a hike and then an astrology workshop at a private residence. If you are interested in attending, just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will also be in Mexico, presenting at Rancho La Puerta the week of July 25th, in case any of you are interested in crossing the border. Hasta Luego!
It is always sad to hear of a family break up. If Jennifer or Ben had come to me for a reading, before getting married, I would have suspected that trouble would eventually loom large in their relationship. Also, it would have been next to impossible for them to have NOT gotten married. This is because of their intense Saturn connections. Whenever someone’s Saturn falls on another person’s personal planets, it feels lovely at first, but ends up feeling like dust in the hands. Saturn is the planet of karma, and big life lessons. When you meet someone for the first time, who has an intense Saturn aspect with your Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars, you will feel as if you have met your soul mate. You have known them before. They will feel familiar and safe. However, these karmic relationships are tough because the two people will be working out whatever difficulties they had in a previous life together. If the two people are highly aware of this difficult karma, it can work out if they both learn the lessons, and “burn” it off. But usually it just wears the couple out, and they end up apart. Ben’s Saturn falls on Jennifer’s Moon, Venus, and Mars. That is a potent combination. He came into this life to really test Jennifer’s patience. He is the teacher and the one who instigates the karma. Who knows what he did, but I am sure she felt the pressure of Saturn. But there are other issues with their charts. A couple needs to have emotional compatibility, and that means the Moon signs should, at the very least, be elementally compatible. Ben has his Moon in watery Scorpio making him very deep and emotional. I am sure he is extremely upset with the ending of this relationship. Meanwhile, Jennifer has her Moon in Gemini which is air. She actually has three personal planets in air so she can be much more emotionally detached. Jennifer also was born with zero planets in water. This is a major issue in their relationship. People with no water are wired to not wallow in emotions, and Ben certainly does. This could also have worn Jennifer down. She just couldn’t handle his intensity. I am sure the two of them know how to fight, as their Mercury signs are both in fire placements. The good news is that it appears their children will be fine. Both parents adore them. Perhaps these intense Saturn relationships are meant to happen so that certain children can be born. If you have had any interactions with people whose Saturn hits your personal planets, tell me what you experienced!
